It looks like a real building now! They put up the trusses on Saturday afternoon. I think they are knocking out some of the brick in the Narthex this week. The outdoor worship space is beautiful. We worshiped there on Sunday. They should be working on the siding for the duct work and putting up the pergola. Even without that stuff done, it is an amazing space. Make sure you come and check it out.

More of the same thing! It looked like it snowed in the Narthex today. I gave a firm finger shaking to the men because they were not wearing masks. I'm just trying to keep everyone healthy.

July 16 pt. 2

Just more pictures of our old offices!

I have an opening for a window....ohhh ahhh! They are still very busy tearing everything out of the Narthex. They will be building a temporary wall on Friday, so it is safe to get to the restrooms in the Narthex. The outdoor worship space/meditation garden is almost complete. They finished up the concrete today- what a job! They put up the dividers for the new bathroom. I think they will finish the new bathrooms in about a month!

Just so OSHA knows, we did not get permission to hit the walls! Paul wanted to make sure that I stated that, just in case they read my little blog! Debbie and I got to knock holes in our walls. What a very cool feeling. They are taking the walls down today, and it isn't a quiet job! Currently, they are pouring the concrete in the garden, I wonder if they will let me put my hand print in the concrete? Ohhh, it is so exciting around here.

Houston, we have a window! I saw it with my own eyes, the cut out of my office window. God is so good! The electrician finished taking out all the light fixtures, tomorrow begins demolition! I do hope they let me swing a sledgehammer! Our office walls are up and very fun looking. They poured concrete on the labyrinth. Debbie and I are settling into our temporary offices- we especially enjoy the couches! :)

I stopped by the church this morning to grab my computer, and they were putting the wall up. Who works on Saturdays? :) I am glad I got to see the walls go up, it only took three guys to do it. Yesterday, Paul, Debbie and I worked our tails off moving all the office furniture. It was an extremely long day...thank you Paul! Everything is ready for Monday's demolition.

I'm back!!! Wow, leave for two weeks and you come back to a whole new church. There has been a lot of work going on. Debbie, the greatest admin ever, has been working over time. She has moved most of the office and Narthex. She has set up the youth room as our temporary offices and set up the kitchen for Pastor Vicki office. She deserves more than a pat on the back, she is amazing!!!!!!!

The meditation garden is moving along. They sketched out the labyrinth today, and will be pouring the cement tomorrow. The electricians have been cutting out lights and putting holes in the walls all day. The plumbers took the fixtures out of the girls bathroom, now it is just a bare room. The concrete has been poured for the new office complex and the first wall is completely up.

We have gutted the Narthex and the offices...it looks so bare. They told us that the walls in the Narthex and offices will come down on Monday. I need to make sure I have my hard hat ready!
