April 28

I'm not sure what happened today. I guess we call it a rain delay. No work...so sad.

April 25

The fence is beautiful! It smells so wood-like and it's tall. I should work on my descriptive words. The workers have been attacked by wood bees, which is kind of fun to watch. They look like they are dancing but I think they are really just running from and swatting the bees. Evil things, we need to get rid of them.
The playground is finished and ready for little feet. If you get a chance to go in the education wing, look at the windows facing the new worship space. They are covered with hand and nose prints! :)

April 24

They are building the fence around the playground and leveling off the worship space. I love the sounds of construction. Although, it really is just the bobcat going back and forth moving dirt, it is still very exciting.

The preschoolers have their noses pressed to the windows to watch their new playground being built. It should be up and running very soon.
Oh and we have a drain! Ohhh Ahhh

April 23

Today, they moved the playground equipment to its new location. I know the kids are going to love it. They will have more shade and a better space to run in. They guys doing the landscape are great. They love having the kids watch them work. Yesterday, there were some tears from the kids because they thought that their playground was going away forever. The new worship space is going to be HUGE!

Ground Breaking

We broke ground on April 13th. It was a raining day but it held off for the time we were outside. We had about 100 people in attendance. The youth provided a lunch before the ceremony and everyone loved it. Thanks to Mary Beth for fixing a wonderful lunch.
Everyone was asked to turn over three shovels of dirt to represent the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. I thought this was a very cool idea. I, however, could not lift my dirt piles. :)

They started doing stuff today! I am so super excited. The landscape guys tore out trees and brush from the front of the church. It was so exciting to see work start! This is going to be an amazing journey! I think I frightened some of the preschool kids today because I was running around shouting. Now only if we could get that permit....
